During the period of the construction work, environmental protection is very important for the workers and public safety. The key points of environmental protection are below:

1.      Environmental Control

All involving persons should Submit the proposal for the traffic movement, temporary structure, (included camps), cleaning up (including burning off), erosion control, erect camps, remove trees or shrubs, cuttings, fence, water, sewerage or power lines to the superintendent.

2.      Fire protection

The extinguishers shall be prepared permanently at the construction site. No burning components on the site.

3.      Delivery of Materials 

Delivery of materials for the construction schedule and process should be the permission between the project manager and the superintendent.

4.      Storage on site

All materials and equipments will be stored properly at the construction site in order to prevent damages. The storage areas will be cleared and cleaned to minimize hazards for all persons, materials and equipments moving from one place to another place.

5.      Noise control

The schedule in a Gant chart format will be prepared in coordination with the superintendent to do parallel with the necessary demolition works, which can be undertaken with a minimum of disturbance for the public. All precautions will be taken to minimize noise resulting from work. All construction equipments will be moved to avoid with nose. Supervisors will look about that noisy equipment to minimize.

6.      Jackhammer Silencing

All Jackhammer and other noisy hand held tools would be used to fit in the performance of the work with effective of a type, which recommended by the jackhammer manufacturer. All tools and silencers will be kept in first class condition. Operators of Jackhammers will be supervised to ensure that the silencers are always in place while the tools are being used.

7.      Disposal of contaminants

Disposal of all solid, liquid and gaseous containers will be done properly in accordance with al statutory and local requirements. Grease contaminants will be discharged and diluted with fresh air, sufficiently to reduce toxicity to an acceptable level. Subject to statutory and local requirements. Liquid contaminants may be diluted with water to a level of quality acceptable in the sewer system or shall be contained in approved vessels of disposal at approved site. Dispose of solid contaminant will be removed from site to approved location or as otherwise directed place by the superintendent.

8.      Disposal of Refuse

Disposal of Refuse will be removed from the site, including food scraps, which are resulting from work. For dropping refuse, use hoppers and shutters, shutters or refuse buckets, which are covered or such of a design as to confine the material completely and prevent dust emission.

9.      Trucking

All trucks taking earth materials or loss debris will be loaded from the site in a good manner that will prevent dropping of materials on the streets. Fasten suitable tarpaulins over the load before it leaves the site. Similarly load and cover trucks bringing loose materials to the site. Ensure that the wheels, truck and body surface of all vehicles and plant leaving the site are free of mud and that mud is not carried to adjacent paved streets or other areas.

10.  Installed Equipment

Protect, installed equipment against damage by dust, dirt and shock.

11.  Soil Conservation

Prevent erosion of soil from any lands used or occupied in the execution of the work.

12.  Existing Flora

All adequately, protect from damage for all trees and other plants which need not be removed or destroyed for construction operation or which are shown on the Drawing to specify to be retained. 

Site concrete mixes will be in a position where wind cannot damage blow cement to the trees and plants.

13. Latrines

To be ensured that the hygiene condition in the construction area. The latrines should be constructed.  The waste from the specific tank will be directed to the public sewers. When public sewers are not available, a private system will be built. The liquid flows into a distribution system, which distributed the liquid into a wide underground. The sun evaporation between the liquid and the ground are absorbing the liquid. Two or more latrines will be built depending on the number of workers and it is designed for services.
